Hi 1pd. thx for reply. i had plenty of material and if I remember rightly i was a Rook ahead. But his clock hit zero and nothing happened.
It just happened again! I play my games with 1 hour on the clock, so my question is how long do you wait for your opponent to make his move before stopping? Just started a game and on his ('amitavaboom') third move after nearly 10 minutes I stopped the game. Most annoying!!!

Aaaagh!!!! It's happening now!! I've just started a new game and I'm waiting for his first move. The thing is, I've just noticed my rating keeps dropping. It's now 747 and I haven't even played a game yet!! Hrump!!!

Actually you won that game and your rating for Standard Live remained unchanged since the game was less than seven plies.

Now, the game. The funny thing is Yeres, from what I remember; it was real late at night and I wouldn't normally resign after only 5 moves, but many thanks for taking the time to explain some moves. I'm going to have a look at them right now.

Hi all.... If this is in the wrong forum apologies. I was playing a game last night (against 'Grobi') and with about 20 minutes left, on his turn, he disappeared! So, I let the clock run down to zero and...nothing. Should I have not won the game? When I've played and ran out of time I'm told that I've lost the game. Any thoughts, my fellow chess-heads? D :)
