Looking at your win rate - assuming you’re not cheating - I think you need to wait for your elo to level out before you seek advice. You’re doing unusually well :)

yeah my winrate lately has been really high but i can assure you that i am not cheating, im just improving happy.png
however what i meant with advice was:

i have seen a lot of players hit about 16-1900 and they just stay there for years and i wanted to know how to avoid getting stuck like that

Hmm I've seen people hard stuck even below that, and then eventually break through.

Improve your study habits. I had a similar quick rise in rating after taking the game seriously, but I stopped playing after a while. Just getting back into it.

openings you can look up. endgames you can look up. middlegames you are on your own. here are some good books to read. Pawn Power by Hans Smoch. My System by Aaron Nimzovitch. Reassess Your Chess by Jeremy Silman and Zurich 1953.

Improving at chess can be quite challenging, but there are various ways to enhance your skills.

For those looking to improve without coaching, here's some valuable advice:

1. Play Frequently: The more you play, the better you'll become at recognizing patterns and making strategic decisions.
2. Analyze Your Games: Review your past games to identify mistakes and areas where you can improve. This self-analysis is a powerful learning tool.
3. Focus on Tactics: Tactics play a crucial role in chess. Spend time solving tactical puzzles and exercises to sharpen your tactical skills.
4. Learn from Masters: Studying grandmaster games can provide insights into advanced strategies and tactics.
