If you love tactics, start 1.e4; if you prefer a slow build-up, start 1.d4.

If you like 1.e4, play 1.e4; otherwise play literally any other first move you want to.

I love 1. e4, it is the move that I have played for a while! And i also love tactics. Ha Although, i agree with #2. It is not that simple.  :)
