NO WAY: They do that all the time on another chess site and I fail to see the point. (DRAW) ha ha.

I have offered draws one move from mate, given take backs, etc... Guys and gals this is "virtual chess." The points don't mean a thing. If you want real points go play OTB.

There are no "real points" anywhere. Stop pontificating.

Smooth Atos personal attacks and thread hijacking aside let's stick to the thread idea.

Which "hijacking" are you talking about ? It was you who started talking about points. Also, where is the personal attack ? For someone who argues that it's all virtual you seem to take things pretty seriously.

haha  didn't know we a Gomer Pyle on chess.com!  Please forgive me if a barrage of Lee Ermey quotes dogs your posts.  :-P

LOL, I'm not the Pyle in Full Metal Jacket. That one was named after my namesake who was in the original "The Andy Griffith Show" and then in "Gomer Pyle, USMC". But I'll forgive, and probably even enjoy, the Ermey quotes.

Recently I played a friendly live game with a lower rated player.  I currently rate 1398, and this player was 922.  My opponent had only 1 possible move.  To put his Queen infront of his King, then it was Checkmate my next move.

My opponent offered me a draw right at this moment, and I felt bad that I was going to Checkmate a little kid.  He had told me he was 12 years old.  I accepted the draw anyways but would you have done the same thing?

Of course I would. For one thing it's just a fun game, and the real fun is to play it, and for another thing, you just shared to him he matters more than the silly game, plus the no "reason for" points! =]

I never have understood a reason for them. You do not ani-up a thing while at a table one on one with an opponent. =3

I think I'm just going to study every post hikama makes, and create a happy meter. So one could go to the pharmacist and get drugs when the "happy meter" is lowLaughing

Real life is about caring peace and well being in my opinion.

We all have our views in real life and the same in this great cyber world ( I do not know the words to use)

In real life Children matter more than most things they are the upcoming generations and if anyone has kids they know how the system works but in this Cyber Space it is so easy to open up and give your views without even knowing what you are talking about in real life.

Spare a thought for the young and old for the world in general once you have reached a stage in life you reflect Peace To AllWink
