Top 3 tips to get to 2430+ from 2100!

Hi guys I just hit 2400 ELO for after a few weeks of grinding this "Chess.com" thing! I wanted to share the top 10 tips I used to get to 2400 ELO so you guys can also get there because some people are not 2400 ELO!

Tip #1: Double check your moves. Make sure your move doesn't accidentally leave one of your pieces undefended, and see if your opponent has a very strong response to your move before actually playing it! If your opponent has a very strong response to your move, maybe consider another move.

Tip #2: Put your pieces on good squares. Good squares = the piece controls a lot of squares, makes a lot of threats, prevents your opponents from moving there, and works together with other pieces. If you place all your pieces on good squares, they will be worth more, and work better together so the game will be much easier for you!

Tip #3: Learn Fools Mate! If you learn the Fools Mate (Google Fools Mate) you will have an advantage over your opponent who likely does not know the Fools Mate or will not be as familiar with it and you can play it to surprise them.

1. I don't need to double check my moves, my moves are bad enough already without extra help.

2. The squares I put my pieces on are by definition good squares, if they weren't good squares I wouldn't have put the pieces there.

3. I am not a Fool, therefore Fools mate is irrelevant to me.

I think OP's account is suspicious, it doesn't add up. No 2100 would ever fall for fool's mate and at best OP is trolling.

No way you think i am a cheater when you beat me like a year ago. I was a measly 1900 back then (mainly on virtue of not trying).

Well I guess there has been inflation in the ratings, because before 2400 would be an exceptional player, like that rating would be full of FMs and IMs, they all now seem to be in the 2600s-2900s.

You can ignore my rating because I watch tv or youtube videos sometimes while playing, sometimes I am trying to make "correct" positional moves (liked by the engine) and hang pieces. Being tryhard pushing for time etc. doesn't really help long-term chess development but making the right moves should. So no I'm not exactly going to win prizes for my chess play but I still have decent enough understanding to have an opinion. There's no way a 2100 is falling for fool's mate. I see the odd 2000 playing some atrocious garbage, but often they know a lot even in the 2000s.

Note I never used the word "cheater", all I said is it all seems a bit suspicious. There are lots and lots of crazy people, normal people would consider an elaborate cheating exercise that goes over weeks as absurd but people like that do exist, especially if they were trying to become big streamers it could be a thing.

It already is. Plenty of IM's are paired with me. For some reason 2600+ players aren't that hard to beat tbh, i know a few. Maybe the excitement of actually playing a 2600+ makes me focus harder.

Is it just me or I actually feel like titled players are stronger than regular players around the same elo in chess.com, like 2500 fm in my opinion plays better than a untitled 2500.

nah i beat many, i'm a retired otb player since i was 12. I'm also friends with a titled player, who got her title at 12.
Many of us just don't have time for actually claiming a title.

You have to share tips like imbalances and how to take advantage of them, positional play, defensive play, aggressive play, what are weak squares, best places for your pieces and common endgames+uncommon/harded endgames. Pls share tips, I struggle with these.

This post is troll bait that i copied and changed a few words from @bigshortsoup68 aka honchkrowabcd

magipi

The original version of this topic was bad enough (you know, made by the banned troll guy), but this is even worse.

troll, says most generic advice to getting to 2400.
like every 1300+ rapid does that. just do very easy tips to be better than 99.9% of population.
yeah buddy, believable bait.

How do you play so much games without fear of rating fall.

I just tell myself that it is just a number. That one is false but I like to tell myself that so that I can overcome elo anxiety

İf you feel your game strenght at 2500 it is okay but for me ı don't even feel myself at 2375 level ı try hard and prepare before games every time. I feel my game strenght at 2250 rating range ı feel that it is very hard for me get less of that rating. Also ı agree your opinions about titled players it is not they are what you guys think to beat them. For me beating an though 1900 is litterally same as to beat a 2200 player at online tournaments. You may have more confidence compared to me because you played in high level otb tournaments and you have a high otb rating. I have developed my chess skills more and more every day compared to normal players and study smart and harder. I skyrocketed my chess skill with my last 2 years hard work and disipiline. I have never played in a fide tournament yet. Only in 4 under 1500 tournament(top3 in all) and a Istanbul Youth Championship( 12. place, 1750s rating performance, 5.5/8, first place had 6.5/8 it was a though tournament. ) this year.
