My version of Total Chess = New Training Plan
Inspired by the brand new The Total Chess Player – FIDE World Combined Champion, and Hans Niemann against the World Series. I’ve decided to put some spice in my daily Training Program.
What about including all 3 official FIDE time formats: Classical, Rapid, and Blitz Chess in the same playing session.
Everyday, my daily playing session.
In order:
1 Classical game (Chesscom 30 min; Lichess 30+0) = 3 points for a win, O for a loss, 1.5 point for a draw.
2 Rapid games (Chesscom 15 | 10 ; Lichess 15+10) = 2 points for a win, O for a loss, 1 point for a draw.
3 Blitz games (Chesscom 5 | 5; Lichess 5+3) = 1 point for a win, O for a loss, 1 point for a draw.
For a Total of 6 Games and 10 points.
Reward Yourself:
8.5 points/10 and I will reward myself with a new Chess book.
“The best chess players are the best blitz players. The best chess players will also be the best rapid players, with very little exception.” – IM Greg Shahade
What do you think?
Is it a great idea to mix and play all 3 time formats in each playing session?
