Transition from openings to middle games

One of my greatest difficulties in checkers is the transition from openings to middle games. I am wondering if there are any solid books or ways to help improve on this.

Try Richard Yeti's "The Complete Checkers Guide To Mosh-Pit Middlegames". Great resource.

A) i can't find that and B) i meant to say chess, not checkers.

A good book on pawn structures would be helpful. Pawn Structure Chess by Soltis and Chess Structures: A Grandmaster Guide by Mauricio Flores Rios both deal with the basic plans for both sides in many structures that arise from common openings. The Flores book is somewhat deeper than Soltis, but it is better organized. Both books are excellent for the transition to the middle game.
