Trash Talk

Ok is it just me or does it seem like if you play a 1 minute bullet game with someone and they just completely demolish you but you happen to win on time that it may not be the best idea to talk crap to them because you clearly just severely lost. I mean come on if you have 2 major pieces and they have say 5 and they are like 3 moves away from checkmate but you win on time then you obviously were about to lose and suck more than the other person so why would you talk crap to them? I cant understand that for the life of me.

Oh and not to mention the fact that you got checkmated in the game you played right before that. I mean come on have some common sense!

Hypothetically, of course.

Thank you. You talking doesnt do anything to help you get better or to beat the other person and regardless of you winning on time you have to think about the fact that you got horribly beat. Before talking crap to someone that should be your first concern.

I never talk a load of junk, anyhow.  I just don't find it acceptable, unless I'm with someone I know and it's just friendly ribbing.  Being a good sportsman is important to me.

I do not understand the impulse to engage in trash talk in any circumstance, much less over a virtual chess board.

With that said, let's not pretend that losing on time in bullet chess isn't a "real loss." By the rules, it is a loss just like any other.
