TTU SPICE Program Still Promoting Events?

The past two years there has been a SPICE Cup event in September. There are no tournament listings in our USCF announcements for any SPICE events in the future. The events link on the TTU SPICE page has been redirected to a blogspot page apparently set up by Polgar/Truong in which the lead article is about Paul and the Pirates.

Just a week ago, the events link stayed on the TTU web system with outdated tournament listings that had not changed since early Spring. Anyone know what's going on at TTU.

Looks like it is still on ...

Interesting.  All the comments, but one, are dated March 27 and 28 of this year. The TTU SPICE events link takes you to the Polgar/Truong TTUChess blogspot which has the 2010 event listed as posted on 7/9 (it was posted today, 7/13) with no comments.    Incidentally, there is no listing for the event in the USCF TL listings.  All rather odd.

Not when you remember that USCF and Polgar/Troung just finished a marathon legal battle against each other.

One thing we learned from TTU during the now settled litigation was that TTU decided not to sponsor the Polgar July tournament as it had the previous year.  One must ask who is going to sponsor this SPICE Cup in October. It is a closed, invitational tournament and it's been pointed out to me that it might not be in the TLAs because of that.  I still find it difficult to understand what is going on with the TTU SPICE site with it's new links to an apparently Polgar/Truong created blogspot.  Guess we'll know more by October.
