Unable to megadatabase in fritz 12

When I try and put the megadatabase file in fritz 12 I get cannot access the file. When I put fritz 7 database in fritz 12 it goes into  fritz 12 but only until I close fritz 12. Any ideas. I'd hate to delete all and restart everything again.

What do you mean "put in"? Just hit 12 (open database), then hit ctrl + o (open/load database) and select your megadatabase file in the browsing window.

That works but I have to insert megabase cd everytime. How do I get the files to hard drive from megadatabase. I keep forgetting.

You could copy them over using Windows Explorer.

I keep getting a cannot access the file? I've transfered to other machines just not my laptop. Seems strange. Almost ready to reformat the machine and start over.

problem solved. thanks for the help. had to make sure I had the complete data file.
