Uncovering the Borg defense

The Borg defense is 1. e4 g5. Black’s pawn will get attacked in the next move, but the bishop can be fianchettoed soon. While I was playing around with this opening, I noticed that it was somewhat similar with the Grob opening. The Grob is 1. g4 e5 or 1. g4 d5. The ideas of the two openings are very identical, and by some reason, Borg is Grob spelled backwards. Maybe these kinds of evidence suggest that the two openings are closely related?
