It could certainly be your connection that's causing the problem, but a rule of live chess that most newcomers aren't aware of is that you only have 15 to 20 seconds to make your first move or the game is automatically aborted. Let's hope that's it and not your connection.
Unfair fair play restrictions

This problem is annoying the hell out of me. Often when i started a game it aborts for some unknown reason, and says 'server has aborted game', it has happened many times and i now have fair play restrictions and have to wait 5mins between games, even though i never intensionally aborted a game.
This is doing my head in, i think its something to do with to do with connection. Does anyone else have this problem??
