I think if one is going to make the argument that chess.com is a social site (which I think is more what the forums are for, let me concentrate during the games thank you very much), then would have to argue that chess.com should remove the rematch feature as playing one person over and over again takes away a bit of the social outlits.
unfair play warning - for not accepting rematch

I think if one is going to make the argument that chess.com is a social site (which I think is more what the forums are for, let me concentrate during the games thank you very much), then would have to argue that chess.com should remove the rematch feature as playing one person over and over again takes away a bit of the social outlits.
I have several reasons why i dont offer/accept rematches:
I dont want to see your insults
Im not here to stroke your ego
I dont want to see your excuses. Why is it always a bad network connection when you lose?
I dont want to get caught up in the constant chat thing while we are playing. We all know what youre trying to do
I dont "owe" you another game regardless of the outcome
I have no desire to prove what a "man" i am
No i dont live in a basement...with my parents...etc.
You dont need to know my sex...age...height...weight...and if im single. What does that have to do with chess?
Im also will not accept friend requests. Why send them if you have no intention of ever chatting, asking a question, wanting to playa game of chess, learning together, etc. This is not Facebook, im not here to pad your "friend" stats
If my profile name "offends" you in any way, please feel free to let me know your reasoning. I would be happy to discuss it with you. What will get you blocked is an ignorant tirade of your "facts" on why God doesnt exist.
Its sad to see someone reduced to being a grammar nazi because i wont allow myself to be sucked into your annoymous online e-thug cuss fest.
I can think of many others, but these are what i encounter the most.
And the #1 reason i do not accept/offer rematches? I enjoy playing different people. Playing the same person over and over bores me.
This is a very sad thread. OP was getting a fair play warning, for an as yet unknown reason. The mere suggestion that declining a rematch could have anything to do with it triggers the anti-rematch-freaks I didn't even know existed. To reply in your own style: I don't need you to hijack threads to spout your paranoia. Oh and by the way, God does indeed not exist.
It is silly to think that Chess.com would issue an "unfair play warning" for declining rematches. That is completely the prerogative of the individual. Sure, there are rematch idiots out there like Scorpio Killer who suffer from the duelusion of entitlement. For all the previous reasons explained (time, interest in playing new players, etc.) no one owes anyone a rematch. Simple fact remains that this is an online environment and there is no way to enforce such a "demand." Enjoy chess and if you feel you want to play again, play someone else if the rematch is declined. If you want to rematch by mutual agreement - great.
I play rematches almost daily. I refuse rematches daily.
I'm a card-carrying curmudgeon in a perpetual bad mood, especially when I'm playing blitz.
If you lag or play garbage, I will decline the rematch. If you say gg and the game was not a terrific battle with chances for both sides, I will decline the rematch. If you taunt with juvenile insults, we will never play again. If your rematch offer comes too slow and I'm already in another game, I will resign the other game and play you (NOT).
If the game was interesting, a good match, and I have time, we might play a dozen games or more. If you are a particularly good sport after I stomped you, you thank me for the game, and you request a rematch, I will do my best to stomp you another time. If you want a third game, pay for lessons.
I've been called a "pompous a**", an "arrogant jerk", and many other similar terms. I collect these and put them in a trophy case. It is nice to be honored by the plebians.
Back to the thread. I have not received a fair play warning since I stopped aborting games, except one day when my internet was screwy and I disconnected too many times.
