Unrated!!!

I just played a gmae with some guy and it showed his rating as unrated!!

Is he cheating or hacking

because I think even if it is the first time that you start playing you start at 1200 and never unrated..

Does that mean that he is amazing, or that hes horrible?

Unrated in that case means just provisional. Every new users starts as "unrated" until they play a bunch of games.

Trust me, it's not that easy to "hack" a site with hundreds of thousands of daily visitors.

does any one know how many games one must play before getting a rating or at least losing that (unrated ) tag ?

Well I don't know about "a bunch of games" To my surprise after my second game win I recieved a rating.  For me problem solved. But still not sure how it works.

is it programed into site, or is it attended to by some one?

It's programmed of course, there's way too many people for this to be done manually. 

Tip: When playing a game, you can click the "details" tab and hit "show rating change". You'll then see how much your rating will change for each possible result (win, loss, draw).
