Jesus mouse! Click on the site, and see for yourself. They're giving away free DVDs if you sign up for a diamond membership here. Just like poster #12 said.

I've visited the site (seems to involve a lot of bets & gambling).  Did not see any links about memberships or free DVDs.

The internet's worldwide, must be hundreds of chess sites using the term "Diamond membership" -- doesn't mean they're affiliated with chess.com.

Give me a break!  That's them saying they're affiliated with chess.com

(Whyever would we believe them?  Show me something on this site other than your claim.)

Puchiko

I didn't mean it as you took it. I was asking it as general question, because I'm used to linking people to other sites (non-affiliated) as well as different parts of chess.com

Diamond membership is worth it for Chess Mentor alone.

Thanks everyone!  I am going to sign up.

Great!  Please don't waste the 'referral' slot (put a member's name there, and they'll receive a one month premium membership or extension on your behalf).

Just a question... none of this is just because you don't wanna get banned, is it? I wouldn't think that the staff would ban you for something like that. Diamond does honestly seem good, but I am OK with gold personally.

 How long have you played?

No one has yet mentioned the Chess Mentor either.  It's less immediately "enteraining" to do than videos, TV, tactics trainer, etc.  But if you really put the time into Chess Mentor courses they can be immensly helpful.  I'd *really* like for that to be put onto the iPod app, though it might be difficult Smile

But In other words, yes.

It is definitely not a rip off, and if used regularly it will pay for itself in a matter of days imo. I like the chess mentor feature and the vids are good as well.
