Any one familiar with the USCF rules and regulations when it comes to time control and notation. Here is the scenario... In a classical match (1 hour 35 minute, delay 5 seconds) when a player reaches under five minutes... they do not have to continue taking notation, right? What about their opponent?
Example:
Say I have 4 minutes 59 seconds left. My opponent has 40 minutes left. Do they have to keep taking notation or can they stop when I stop? I have heard it debated a few times at the club and it seems no one knows for sure.
