You can use your vacation anytime you want (does not matter whose turn it is) except for the following 2 reasons:
You have no vacation time remaining.
Or you have joined a match in which vacation is not allowed (vacation is allowed in most matches).

It could well be that he is a 'premium member'. When he runs out of time, his membership puts him automatically on vacation. It does not brings you into the flow of the game, but it is allowed.

Hello all,
at the moment I play a 24 hours game against a member who obviously picked the wrong timetable for his moves. Yesterday he went for the third time 'on vacation' during this game. I always thought it was impossible to put a game in a vacation mode when it's your turn to move. Or am I wrong..?
