Hello everyone,

a little while ago I told you all that I was preparing for a match against a similiar rated opponenet (we are both roughly 1900's.  I just finished the match tonight demolishing my opponent 6 to 1 with 2 draws.  One of the local strong experts (ex master) was very impressed and has challenged me to a 4 game match.  I have about 2-3 weeks to prepare.  Now this is a much stiffer challenge, do you guys think I should focus and strong opening preperation, mass tactics or just generally improving my positional play or looking for weaknesses in my opponents play?  The person I am playing has been described as a very logical player (he read logical chess move by move like 6 times lol.)

You probably have already started your match by now, but just in case you haven't. Concentrate on your weaknesess.  Find those areas that you consistently have problems with.  Are you good with closed positions, open positions, tactics, etc?

If you could find one or two of your weak areas to improve it should pay dividends in your match.

Both good suggestions, I know what openings he plays and what type of player he is, he likes open tactical positions and loves to grab pawns.  His openings often are the Queen's Gambit Tarrash and e5 as black.  As white he plays 99% e4 and will alot of times play things like the Evan's gambit if given the chance as white.
