Too bad it’s creator isn’t recorded in history it’s definately cooler then other inventions of its time, the wheel for example.

It's pretty clear that the game the evolved into modern Chess originated in India. The names for the pieces, moves, checkmate, etc. in Europe are clearly of Persian origin. After the game became a big thing in Renaissance Europe, the rules were improved to create a more dynamic game: a powerful Queen, Pawns leaping two squares on the first move, etc.

It was a gift to indians from chinese emperor! At those times china ruled the world but the admitted to the indians that it was not their traditional mind game but something strange introduced by a snake like tricky legit their first worker or engineer

Not much is known
of early days of chess
beyond a fairly vague report
that fifteen hundred years ago
two princes
tough brothers, for a Hindu throne.
The mother cried,
for no one really likes
their offspring fighting to the death
she begged to stop the slaughter
with every breath
but sure enough one brother died.
sad
beyond belief
she told her winning son
"you have caused such grief
I can't forgive
this evil thing you've done"
He tried to explain
how things had really been
but he tried in vain

could molify the queen
And so he asked
the wisest men he knew
the way to lesson her distress
they told him he'd be
pretty certain to impress
By using model soldiers
on a checkered board
to explain it was his brothers fault
they thus invented chess

Chess was made in India and got refined as the centuries passed and it got spread to other countries, transforming it into the game we love today. I also think I heard somewhere that in the orginal Indian version of Chess, a modern engine ran and found that white has a forced checkmate from the starting position.
