Was Notified By CHESScom to STOP posting Ads (which i'm not)!
There should be a Law Suit againsst Google. Why should i have to pay to stop annoying ads. Then just this afternoon Ads started appearing on womens liungera which i've never seen before or ever clicked on such an Ad. The only thing i can figure is the other player is the quilty party.
All you have to do is clear that cache my friend.
"Nope. The other player sees different ads. Your browsing habits lead to those ads. Maybe you look at porn?"
NO WAY! I've never seen any women's underwear ads on my chromebook. I've even complained to the local county Library system that some patrons are watching porn and since then the county Library blocks all porn.
Apparently Chess.com has been compromised by others ... NOT ME!
"You don't have to" (Escherehcs) ... in order to get rid of nuisance ads on my chrome book i have to pay "Ad Remover" a monthly fee. Until yesterday i had never seen any women underwear ads. This tells me that the problem is with Chess.com ... whenever i see ads on the upper right side i always click on "not interested", but up again comes another ad so it's a nuisance that i just ignore. Yesterday's posting of women underware ads is only seen on Chess.com. I've never before seen women's underware ads at the YMCA, McD's, Perkins Restaurant, Hennepin County Libraries, Plymouth Community Center, Taco Bell or other places that have free WiFi. I don't have WiFi in my home. My computer is just for Word Processing and Photo Editing of Grand kids, wildlife telephotos, scenics, macro, familly and friends.
Thus, Chess.com's website somehow allows those skimmy ads. Wouldn't consider it porn, but apparently those ads caught the attention of CHESScom and pointed his guilty finger at me as being at fault.
The very FACT that Johnny G says, "Pasta is porn and porn is good. Yay!" indicates that there are perverts lurking on this site that are more guilty of encouraging such behavior.

Your Chromebook browser doesn't allow you to install plugins like Adblock Plus or uBlock Origin? (I've never used a Chromebook, so I'm not familiar with this issue.)
Chess.com uses ad servers to display ads to the users. Ad servers are bad from a security standpoint, because all a hacker has to do is to be able to slip in a malicious ad to the ad server, then the ad server merrily sends the malicious ad to all of the sites using their service. This scenario is called "malvertising", and it's one way you can get viruses and malware on your machine without actually doing anything wrong. Sometimes, you don't even need to click on anything to get infected. I guess that's not a big problem with a Chromebook, since you can just reset it back to factory defaults, but it's a problem for regular PCs. Chess.com doesn't worry about malvertising until they actually get hit with it, then they go into damage control mode. (Oh yeah, Chess.com offers a morsel of a benefit for any member that reports a malicious ad, but that's after the fact, plus, how many people are going to know WHICH ad was the malicious one?)
Also, I've read about people complaining that ads pop up on their screen obstructing their view and preventing them from playing games. In my book, that's inexcusable.
@CanonG10 - Oh, and when you click on the "Not Interested" button of the ad, I'm guessing that's hurting you more than helping you. The ad server sees you clicking on that button, and they know that you're paying attention. ![]()

Well, ya never know - They might mean it, or they might be saying it for shock value, or maybe just to be funny.

I know there's a lotta sexual innuendo in the doctrines of the pastafarians, so Johnny G might have a point.
Didn't the site use to have a policy that if you saw an offensive ad....to send in a ticket?......not sure if they still do that.....I was looking for one of Martin's post. Seems to be a lot here......https://www.chess.com/forum/search?keyword=ads

umm isn't this topic kind of un-family friendly?
The ads were no different than what a kid would see when Montgomery Wards and Sears Roebuck used to send catalogs. Even today ads arrive in the mail and on TV that are no different those ads that started popping up on my chromebook for the first time ever while playing a game at Chess.com. Figure it first infiltrated Chess.com by one of the women chess players.
