We have to have a talk about the Chess.com Community Club

The amount of drama is insane lol. Almost everyday. Right now they are having a swearing/cursing contest there now which is pretty bad. Today in the club notes has been a lot of cursing (100+ curse words). But there should be more staff moderating Chess.com Community notes and livechat

Aren't clubs supposed to be moderated by their own admins? When it gets to staff, it should be to close down the club altogether.

All clubs aren't like this, most of the clubs I administrate in are practically run to Chess.com standards.

Mine isn't. But most of us there don't spend much time there nor on the forums either.

The higher the quantity of posts the lower the quality, normally.

Many go to clubs as they are not moderated like the forums. Others do so to cut out the noise in the forums. The second group has a chance of making it work until they disagree on what noise is.

Nobody really knows what those standards are since it's all vague left to interpretation and selective enforcement.

With a club one should be holding the members to a higher standard.

Admins are responsible for keeping the club running correctly, Chess.com staff shouldn't be called in excepting sever cases.

In the case of the Chess.com Community Club, it is run exclusively by Chess.com staff, if I remember correctly.

The sites policies are listed quite clearly, typically clubs are a bit "looser" with rules.

Oh I don't know that. I should've checked.

That would mean that the club is selectively moderated without the aid of the normal autobot filters. That would explain the results.

Totally aware of these and how they've changed without notice over the decades.

These aren't clear nor consistently enforced.
