Does anybody know what the official club level time controls are? I know you start with 40 minutes but I can't remember whether it has 2 segments like in FIDE games & the control type (e.g. Fischer/Bronstein) & if there is a delay how large a delay?

There is no "official" club level time control, and there's actually quite a diverse range, as this page (a survey of chess leagues in the UK and Ireland) shows:

ah ok thanks anyway pal

that's longer than an official FIDE game because FIDE tend to be about 2 hours for 1st 40 then about 40 minutes after

Here they are using 90m/30s for clubs competitions (teams national league and teams city cup).

I like to have more time too hence why I prefer online chess to live on here but that time of about 2 hours then 1 hour does seem a bit excessive but I mean for FIDE games that time is reasonable but normal club level it seems excessive
