What do people want in a blog?

I was wondering what people would want in a blog post because I want to be a top blogger. So what do you want in a blog?

Insightful analysis, quality writing, pleasing appearance (most blogs and other sites use fonts, colors, and margins that render reading difficult--life's too short for these).

First step.....ignore the public. If something is good, people will come to it, it won't need to pander to their wants. Second step.....write what you want to write. Even if it doesn't garner you the net medal for most adoring fanboys, it'll be worth your time because it's something that comes from you. Please yourself with your art and let the rest play out as it will.
