Basically, a closed position is a position where pawns on both sides of the board are blocking each other’s path. In this position, knights are stronger than bishops. You should utilize the squares your pawns control to your advantage and get your knights to secure outposts.

Try trading off you and your opponents’ bad bishops to simplify the position, or to make the position less complicated
