What do you feel about players that do perpetual checks when they are losing?

Opponent is very much within his right to give u perpetual check.U can'tdo anything about it.If he gets away with it (either force a draw or waste time)it is his plus point and your minus point that u failed to notice this before and take this into consideration before the perpetual check

started.

I'm always annoyed when someone does this to me in a 'won' position but I must admit I do love it when I can save a draw by using it (not as often unfortunately)

I understand the OP's frustration though regarding it as cheap, it does almost feel that way but it is part of the game.

Some TT puzzles are centred around this and you have to choose the right move to stop such delaying moves.

he gave u perpetural check!? How dare he!! He should have laid down and resigned like a man.

Perpetual check in a lost position is an awesome swindle.

Games swindled are sweeter than games earned (a reference to what movie?).

Players that do perpetual checks when they are losing are a lot smarter than players who do perpetual checks when they are winning!

To even out, also those who are winning should if possible do perpetual checks.

Don't you know the rules?

Sometimes perpetual checks will lead you to win. My oponent was just one move from the point where it would certain for him to win. But after he moved his queen to capture my rook, I started to perpetually checkmating him and then he lost. Analyzing the game after, I discovered that he had no choice but to lose after moving his queen.

The best way to still be in the game i guess...... just afraid to lose...

Looking for a loophole in your play....

You are the cheap one here, man... your oppening, if losing, will give u perpetual checks any chance he got.

NEVER!

After all, how would it be MY fault, that I left my king open, and blew an easily winning position.

No, that is obviously my opponents fault. Santa going to give him nothing but coal this year!

I'm not a pro, but i think you should have protected your king enough to prevent the perpetual checks.
