What do you feel about players that do perpetual checks when they are losing?

This is one of the dumbest threads I have seen. Even the title has bad grammer.

I watched this hotly disputed game, and was immediately reminded of this:

Say you're beating someone and aren't that far away from a mate.  Say he somehow breaks through your defense with a queen and begins checking you all over the board.  What do you feel about this?  I was winning a game pretty handidly and my opponent sacrificed a pawn in order to give his queen open space to check me.  It was in a position in the board where I didn't have a shield for my king and so he could have checked me as many times as he wanted.  I think it's pretty cheap.

Yep, for you to complain because  you blundered into letting your opponent get you into perpetual check is cheap as it gets.

Do you think people are supposed to resort to perpetual check only if they are winning the game?

Find another activity not so stressful for crybabies.

I recall someone once saying that a winning position in which your opponent can give perpetual check is not a winning position.

Obviously, it's a drawn position.

To be honest, when I fall for a perpetual check.. its at that moment I realize that I wasn't winning because I allowed for a draw. Its a let down but again.. it wasn't winning :)

I usually just lose on time instead while they are perpetual checking.  Why throw away just ½ point when you could throw away the whole point with a little more penache.

I play on mobile app and most of the time it won't give me the perpetual draw even if I check them 50 times. Last time it happened my opponent refused to draw because he was mad that his won game was now drawn and proceeded to call me every name in the book. Now that's being a sore loser lol no worries though I was ahead on time so about 100 checks later I won on time. Perpetual is part of chess if u don't like it I'm pretty sure there are no perpetual in checkers so maybe that's your game.

It's not automatic; you have to claim the draw by pushing the draw button.

Might have been a bug that day, no big deal I don't get perpetual opportunities very often and that guy was a jerk so I enjoyed giving a billion checks and getting the win instead lol

It\s a virtue to find that perpetual move!

blueepicure

It's a legitimate way to force a draw.

hapless_fool

It's an offense to wisdom and reason.

Draw by perpetual check doesn't exist.  You can either claim a draw by 3 move repetitition if that happens or by the 50 move rule and 50-moves is a lot more than people often think it is when they are making a succession of quick checks!
