Hey guys, I'm new in the app, and when I went through settings, there was a thing called auto queen. I switched it on, but nothing really happened to the queen. Can you guys help me
Preggo_Basashi

It's an option for pawn promotion.

When you promote a pawn, the auto queen will promote the pawn into a queen automatically,

not giving you the other options of promoting to a knight, bishop, or rook.

Basically every time you want to move the queen, you can click on it, and it will automatically move itself to what the computer judges to be the best square. Some people like the option, while others think they have better judgment than the computer.

these bozos are messinh with you. autoqueen option is for making the queen be able to take any of the opponent's pieces in its path, which is basically in all directions, but there cant be anything between them and the queen cant ve revealing her king to ve attacked after it moves. all you have to do is click/tap the queen, then tap the piece that younwant the queen to take - and it does that automatically for you. its so cool to watch. i enjoy doing that every time. try it. yeah

Oh yeah... that too. I don't like to tell people about that aspect of the option, because I think it's just unfair. Chess.com needs to nerf it as soon as possible.

No no no! Auto-queen is an effect that allows your pawn to become queen when he forks both bishop and knight! Very very powerful! Sadly, it is not easy to fork with pawn. Legend said that whoever fork with pawn will automatically win the game because of this auto-queen effect! However, you must know that this effect is a double-edge. You and your opponent can have this!

I heard that auto queen is the auto guard to the king. It means whenever your king is in danger of checkmate, you double click the Queen and the Queen will automatically come to guard your king.

As auto queen option become very powerful, the strat would be killing opponent' auto queen first, before killing the king.

None of you have it right.  Auto queen makes the queen make an extra move every turn to put it between your king and the nearest threat.  This helps keep your king safe, but it makes it harder to use the queen aggressively.

No! Actually, auto queen allows you to create new queens out of nothing. It's the newest undercover cheating feature on chess.com!

Thank you all. I will test these out to see it happen.

Automatic queen is great, but I prefer semi-automatic for obvious reasons

LOL

I much prefer the full auto queen to the semi auto it takes more ammo but its devastating at close range

to each their own. I prefer efficiency and longevity in the usually long and drawn out matches of chess

Yep... happened to me too. After that I stopped using auto queen.

I'd think it's needed more for bullet players, or blitz players not using at least a +5 increment.

Recently, I actually had to under promote to a rook to avoid a stalemate.
