I’m confused how that’s a brilliant move when the queen is guarding

if the queen proceeds to capture the knight, the bishop will obviously recapture; therefore, the player literally cannot escape the checkmate without losing its queen.

Just got my first brilliant move today. Definitely boosted morale after dropping over 100 elo on a losing streak this past week lol (Although, I do feel like it's more a "Great Move" vs "Brilliant", but I'll take the accolade on my chess.com report card wink)

It's hard to get a brilliant move frustrated

Brilliant moves are nice to get but ironing out misses and inaccuracies is more useful for learning. In my experience a brilliant move is always from a sacrifice which goes on to win because this shows 'vision' but I've also had brilliant moves in games I've lost. The most satisfying brilliant moves are when I lose the exchange by giving up my rook for an opponent's bishop or knight but it relieves pressure or damages their defence enough to allow me to win.

Instead of just one move I would prefer a sequence of moves that are evaluated as brilliance with links to relevant hypermodern concepts or similar world championship games.

my most brilliant min one game is 4!

Brilliant moves are hard to find. Their purpose is to let you ultimately win. Not every situation has a brilliant move. You won’t feel like you will lose when you sacrifice a rook or other valuable pieces (obviously except the king), but instead you may find out a way to break through the opponent’s defense.

However, not all brilliant moves lead to victory. Fatal blunders may destroy your winning position. For example, I played against ‘Komodo-25’ to check out whether brilliant move works. (Of course with suggestions) Surprisingly, the bot played one but got checkmated in the end.

Play the Fried Liver opening and you will get a brilliant move when you sacrifice your knight

that was more of a tactic than a brilliancy, but ok

I got one of my first brilliant moves with the Ponziani-Steinitz Gambit against the Fried Liver attack... though I just found out that Game Review just calls the move "best" now, because I was much lower rated then, I guess.
