How do I lose 73 rounds in with a pawn and a king as white although when I play black and am one move away from checkmate it automatically says a draw?

The draw? It is stalemate. When you or your opponent can't move and they are not in check, it is stalemate.

And the loss? You probably lost on time

And another possible draw is: if you ran out of time but the opponent didn't have enough material to checkmate you.

Beautiful rook sacrifice , good for beginners and mid elo players

its the exact same situation, except black had 20 extra moves on that game. When I was black and one move away from checkmating it said draw

The draw? I said. It was stalemate. If you or your opponent doesn't have any legal moves, and you are not in check, it's a DRAW. With a rating of 300, i can understand that you can't understand.

And the loss was because your opponent had the checkmate XD

The draw wasnt a stalemate I had a queen rook and more they only had a king and pawn what about that is a stalemate? How at all does that become a stalemate? I obviously have more than enough pieces to checkmate and they had none. He wouldve been checkmated in like 3 more moves max
