What happened to David Vest?

I was looking through somewhere and I saw that NM HighPlanes changed his username to @EmregentOne and then closed his account. Then I went to fide.com and he's listed as inactive At the bottom when it shows Active players he's number 0, so that means he's inactive. I also get that he's 70 years old so he's probably just playing for fun and has been for a while, but why would a titled player, and a known one at that, change their username then close their account?

What happened, or did he just decide to quit? Please tell me what happened, if you know, or just give out suggestions if you don't.

I greatly enjoyed watching David play. His games were beautiful. I hope he returns.
