Nothing at first, but if you lose your next game it goes backwards and your rating will be one million.

Since "chess is life" (according to a certain legendary grandmaster), once your rating hits zero you will of course drop dead.

Reaching zero is probably more difficult than becoming a master :)

True, to reach a rating of zero, you would need to lose to someone with a negative rating.

You will be erased from the timeline and no one will remember your existence.

ehm your rating will hit zero.

when you hit zero you come into the cosmological battle with myself.

i have been at zero for a two dozen years.  zero is "my place".

i give up zero only to the one who can put a dark spot in my hand and send me to john gunn, to live among the goats.

You will be vanished from earth ... and black hole will form.

thus far the synopsis of hitting a zero rating is:

1) if you lose your next game it goes backwards and your rating will be one million.

2) you will drop dead

3) you will turn into a burrito and get eaten cool sheep

4) you come into the cosmological battle with old house cat

5) you will be erased from the timeline and no one will remember your existence

6) you will be vanished from earth ... and black hole will form

- though points #5 and #6 are somewhat the same

If you hit 0, you proplerly cannot play with anybody online except the computer.

You need to reassess what you are doing playing chess. If you like to play, keep doing that.
