What is a good rating for a teenager?

i mean if im not wrong sam shankland was 2100 at age of 16

you can play tournements at 100 ELO Im 1000 ELO and I often win more than I lose in tournements go play a tournement you have a large enough rating

Around 1700-1800 is good as online rating.

For Standard rating it might require 2000.

What might require 2000?

Nice, in my opinion 2400 is great for a teen, they can be considered good at chess at that level.

I'd think 3500 is good, phenomenal even. 
But here is the real answer: It has nothing to do with "teenager" or "kid" or what ever. It depends on how long you've been playing and how many games/hour you have on the clock. If you just started playing chess last week, then you're fantastic at 700. But if you've been playing 10 years, then 700 is not shameful, but it's definitely at the lower end of things (if you truly continuously played chess regularly for 10 years)
