" I often tell people that Chess is probably the most useless activity that I regularly engage in." Chess has replaced lots of sports watching on TV for me, which seems to me was even more useless then chess. I must gravitate to useless activities.

It helps to develop thinking skills and teaches you to not do everything on instinct
