What is difference between Elo and Fide rating?

FIDE uses the Elo rating system for their rating. However, other organizations may also use the same rating system so that doesn't not make FIDE and Elo synonymous.

 

Other organizations may use other rating systems such as the USCF and Chess.com.

@Martin_Stahl, does that mean if a title asks for 2000 Elo rating, you could use and rating system that uses the Elo rating system instead of Fide rating, correct? Like, USCF? (I don't know if USCF rating actually uses Elo)
