It's a man's name.
Arpad Elo invented the rating system that was used for many years. Nowadays a different rating system is used (Glicko instead of Elo) but people still call it "Elo" out of habit.
What is Elo?

I saw this term in a game, and I don't know what it means. It's probably an acronym, but the only ELO I know of is Electric Light Orchestra.
