Glicko RD is the rating system that most online chess sites use.  As opposed to pure ELO systems where only the ratings of both players are taken into consideration, Glicko implements the Rating Deviation (RD).

Essentially, it tries to more quickly get you to your "true" rating.  The more games you play in a short period of time, the lower this deviation so you will experience very regular changes in your rating.  The fewer games you play in a short time (for example, not playing any games for a few months), then your RD will increase and result in bigger increase/loss of rating after games.

I recommend quickly checking out this official support article: https://support.chess.com/article/210-how-do-ratings-work-on-chess-com

I'm sure Professor Glicko would be amused....Anyway it's Rating Deviation, similar I suppose to standard deviation in statistics.  The following link explains how chess.com uses it, but if you are into math, you could google it for the formula.
