what is stalemate?

I don’t really understand how stalemate works, any help?
If the player who has to move doesn't have any legal moves, and they're not in check, it's stalemate, a type of draw.
If the player whose turn it is to move is...
A) Not in check,
B) Cannot move the king without exposing it to an attack,
C) Cannot legally move any other piece (either because they're blocked or pinned to the king),
The game is a draw by stalemate.
Here's an example I made up that demonstrates it pretty well:
