I got: f***ing coward. Well... I was proud
What is the best compliment you can get from your opponent?

Two best compliments I have received in correspondence chess.
Here is the first one I will give a position. I had Black and made one move and Whitek, who was a very good player gave me the very nice compliment to resign as he knew he would eventually lose...

A "compliment" I will remember forever:
I was playing a game and I won. My opponents "compliment" :
"You suck at chess."

The best compliment i Got was 'Fcuk You'.. Is is good or bad???
Mostly bad. If bad means good :p

wow you played perfect whats your rating ? [A expert complimented me on a game I posted against a 1900 elo computer I think ]
Your play was Completely fine I dont see anything wrong just learn to manage your time better [GM Gregory Kaidonov compliment when he was analyzing players games for free at a scholastic event surprisingly I actually lost the game hes referring to lol but I lost on time and was completely winning.]

lol what a dumba$$ cheating in a board game everyone knows your a prog thats why im going to report your reatard a$$ [another online server I play on where a sore loser compared me to a engine :) ]

If I'm impressed by my opponent they receive the following...
If you say the word receive it has to be money.
In which case i first, 2nd and 3rd in line.

Nope. Alcohol.

It must have been my game against N.N 1987 when my opponent's face hit the board after I played 23.Nxf7 . I thought he was dead , but he wast just epileptic.

Recently a new kid joined our school and started trash talking. "I will beat the entire school chess team." Man did he get his ass handed to him by me. ;)

I think the best compliment I got was at the end of a fairly complicated tactic, (in which I won a queen) my opponent stared at the board for a solid 3 minutes, blankly, until he finally said, quite simply, "Jesus," and resigned. I can't give you a position because it was years ago and over the board (i.e. not online). Maybe if I scavenge my old collection of notated games.
What's more is the opponent was a good friend of mine at the time, and we played a lot (so he knew the ins and outs of my game). Knowing that made it all the more pleasurable to hear.
In an OTB game, a friend (toughest rival) once said "Nice combination!" I was pleased.
Other times, "$#!+." warms my heart.
