What is wrong with some of you? (trash talking)

Honestly, if I were you I would just start typing the entire dictionary of swear words because your legally allowed to say whatever you want (Freedom of speech) and there is no law against swearing in communication. But that's only if you're really fed up with them.

Trying to distract your opponent while playing should be regarded has cheating. They should be banned.

Uh...I don't know if I'm missing something here, but it is? At least in formal gameplay.

I do not understand the trash talking, either. It takes all the class out of a great game.

It's the internet, they can talk about bad things as much as they want. Ignore them, try not to get them under your skin.

Sometimes I honestly want to know why you're playing so terribly. Like we are both the same rank so how are you here, but you are playing absolute nonsense moves. I thought we were all trying to get better but sometimes I feel like people are just being wild out there.

Also, I don't really talk trash I just ask why.

When someone is trash talking just tell

them to have a nice day or say I hope you have a great time. That destroys them mentally makes them annoyed but they can't report you.

Words only have the power you allow them to have.

Theres a big difference between the GREAT culture of chess banter/trash talk and simply people acting like degenerate, low selfesteem, immature pricks, i find that most players that complain about this behaviour (me included) are referring to random messages u get either when youre winning or losing someone will write something spicy, telling you you suck or something more exotic like swearing in different languages, all of these i group into the same stereotype: "someone trying to insult or mock because theyre either 9-12 years old or they grew up in a household with parents that act like that normally".

I actually dream of the day someone will write something witty while actually trash talking the relevant chess were playing im ALL for that and occasionally try to do it respectfully but rarely is appreciated. Lets just say todays godless/Guideless youth who believe in nothing and have no meaning and purpose in identity they basically have no reason to control their impulses or emotions, thats just my take

#33 I did that the other day. The guy played the 4 knights so I said "how original" and then he kept playing mainline so I said "feeling daring today, aren't you"

And I didn't flag even though it was 1+0

This is what the internet and being anonymous does to people. 99.9% of those that act dumb online would never act that way in public. As for the other. 1%. Those are the ones on meds and or institutionalized.
