Scandinavian Defense for Black, Queen's Gambit for White. I just prefer a more simplistic approach in the opening whereas there is a more complicated tactical battle to be happening during the middle and endgames. It seems like the best openings in my opinion for beginners to get used to it and then shift to more complicated opening and middlegame theory,
