First, in ICCF wins the player who can feed engines with best ideas, not this one with most powerful hardware.Second, there is a lot of good laptops who doesn't cost much.I use this one - https://www.cnet.com/products/lenovo-ideapad-y510p-15-6-core-i7-4700mq-16-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd-59375627/

I also have use it for playing some quite heavy games and still don't have problems.Anyway if you want to get ICCF title you must work on your opening preparation and positional understanding.

cool. but how do i think better than the engine. i think it's impossible.

Engines are tactical monsters but have huge problems in positional understanding and endgames.

I present  you one of best centaur games ever.

Qa4 is first line of every engine and is losing by force due brilliant pawn sac 14 f5.This sacrifice has positional character - it doesn't allow black to blockade king side and get draw.I am pretty sure that GM Dronov has find it in deep analysis in his opening preparation not by running supercomputer on depth 40.

So one of main ideas on correspondence chess is development of opening theory.Actually a lot of OTB grandmasters who search novelties in ICCF games. There is even some OTB masters who play correspondence chess.Rafael Leitao has GM title both in OTB and ICCF chess.

Nothing to do with 12...... Qa5.

This position is probably lost according to statistics of Leela's training games and Leela winning statistics against stockfish. Even if you play with 1000 cores stockfish for black, I think a 2080ti leela will forced beat black, in approx 70-75% of the game!!

Dont believe me?, ask people in in TCEC bonus games in here.

And also, according to history of training statistics, Alpha Zero and Lc0 avoid playing  French totally as their statistics shows very poor results with black.

Engines don't understand french defence, but that not mean that it is refuted opening.Instead Qa4, the right way to play this position is c4 immediately ,followed by retreating queen to f5 in order stop white king side attack.

Cool. Can you post an own game of yours where you used your judgement to improve upon the engine.

My games aren't on such high level, since I play centaur chess from 3 months.I make bad opening choice, but won due blindly following on top engine suggestion by opponent.

This article explains the basics of centaur chess.Take look on the game played by Nigel Robson- it is really instructive and is played on very high quality.

Your own game is also interesting but I can't understand why you played a dubious opening capturing with the q rather than the n on d4 like in a normal open sicilian.

Idea of Qxd4 is get maroczy bind(pawns on c4 and e4 against sicilian structure). It is not terrible dangerous in this case, comparing to maroczy bind against accelerated dragon where black face strong positional pressure.Black best setup was g6, not e6 which is passive and lead to disaster in this game .I will definitely don't play Qxd4 anymore.
