what makes males better at chess than females

#2 is absolutely right, some of the bad women are too haughty, and they make the other females look bad

Males face greater competition. Thus, they face way more pressure.
They must play on a higher level to survive.

If a woman does not need to get 2700 to be No.1, then they will not try to attain a 2700 skill level. After all, there is no merit in doing so.
However, a male must achieve 2800 to become No.1. Thus, they must work harder....

In what universe have i said that if you are referencing me? @noemiS05
I believe she was referencing @bigboy24iiiii

Because women have decided to only play other women. And to not challenge the best players in the world.
Judit Polgar rejected this idea of only playing other women. And GM Polgar because the strongest women player of all time. And one of the best chess players in the world.
To become the best, you must play the best chess players.

Why do you guys think there is such a massive skill gap at the elite margins?
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy that begins at childhood. There are no females at the top, so no parent in their right mind would try to raise a female chess prodigy.
The chess trajectory is steep, and it starts extremely young. Judit was raised on chess to the exclusion of nearly everything else - and she reached #8 in the world. We can think of many male players who have been raised this way - focused only on chess, with education being pushed to the side. But can we name a single other female who was raised in the same way?
Both Yifan and Wenjun (the two highest-rated current female players) had their childhoods devoted to a balance of chess and formal education. How high could they have climbed had their childhoods resembled Judit's? ... One can only wonder.
The only way to start seeing more females at the top is to start raising our female players on chess and chess alone. I doubt that will happen anytime soon, though ...
