I am 12 and 1500 rapid and bullet. I think this is decent. Also for 10yrolds 1300

I’m as good at bullet but 1100 blitz and 1200 rapid at the age of 11

Its not about the age I think its more when you started chess. (i.e I started chess 2 months ago and I am 750 rated)

Very true very true, I think this is right, but, I started chess 15 months ago and I’ve already hit a 1560 in bullet at one point

Hello I am 13 years old. I love playing chess and I want to become good at it. I usualy play on another site and I have 1101 bullet points over there. How many points do I need to become a good local player?

Local standards vary. In my city, a 13 year old who is over 1200 will be near the top of their age group. Across the state in Seattle, they will be the one whom the top players must beat to get challenging pairings in later rounds.

How is it your Rapid, Blitz and Bullet ratings are so much higher than your Daily rating?

I was 2100 just before I turned 14 and I'm a failure so aim higher than me

Age is irrelevant.

Deadmanparty

How many people play in organized chess competitions compared to the general population?

Deadmanparty

So for most 13 year olds, age is irrelevant.  My statement was true for more people than yours.

no it wasn't m wise up age has a lot to do with everything as of brain development. hormones etc

Surely you know that amount of time studying and quality coaching as well as natural talent has more to do with things than age.

age is not irrelevant of there would not be a youth world championship

Your quote.  Youth world championship  is irrelevant for most.

The question is how good should someone be at 13.  Age does not matter.  You are as good as you want to be at any age.

Good local player.  For my area that would be a good local player.  Maybe you know his locality a bit better and what would be deemed as good by the locals.  Perhaps globals?

Nice, grammar police on an internet board.  Guess that means I win.

Deadmanparty

Grammar and internet board do not go together.  You have not figured that out yet?

A persons age should have nothing to do with their rating it is all based on chess skill and chess practice.

1300 is decent. 1300s have a decent understanding of chess but not very extensive yet
