Makes no sense. Every move and game is obviously saved on a server. There is no reason for the game to abort completely.
If the company just needs restart the server, a warning would have sufficed.
Frankly, the subscription price here was way too low to be honest. I would happy be pay more for less issues.

When the server is taken down for maintenance any ongoing game is instantly cancelled, as if it never existed.
It just saves a lot of headache. Plus usually there is a server warning that tells u when exactly the server will go down for maintenance. I'm not sure why ur losing ur mind over it.
I doubt that anyone is losing their mind over this issue. I have noticed that no one in a lost position has mentioned it.
Website has a bug or server goes down. Customers complain. Pretty normal and logical reaction.
But knowing in advance, you should be ready for it and thus not complain if you play a game near maintenance break hours.
The live chess server gone and on the live chess it says that it will restart and if it shows that you shouldn't be taking a game or play a tournament because it gets aborted
the servers never go down for long, and it's a common re-occurance to make sure the servers work well.
Like if you are gonna be making a forum post about it, u should be thanking them. Would you rather them not bother with the servers and just let them be garbage? then u will complain that the servers don't work.
I guess people will complain no matter what.

The site doesn't do adjournments. It used to, really early on, when live started, but hasn't been around for a long time.

I just played a game, wherein, I made a bishop move discovering a checkmate. The game aborted!
And it showed the position before I made the move. Rather than take a screen shot, I clicked on the x to close the pop up window, and the app exited. And when entering the game record is gone.
I don’t know if this is a server error, but based on when it happened, it reeks of some kind of cheating.
