whats better point wise, losing by checkmate or on time?

When you're playing bullet chess and you have maybe 5 seconds ticking on the clock and the opponents next move is a definite checkmate, what would be better point wise

to move and get checkmated?

or wait for the time to run out?

Points-wise, no difference. The method by which we lose or win is of no consequence.

i normally give the checkmate away. i think its quite sad if people are doing that to you. i just wanted to know a bit more on how we get scored. Would we really get the same points if you have the same pieces at the end of a 10 minute game, one game where you have 9mins left on your clock, your opponent has 5seconds and you win by check mate, and the other game where you have 5 seconds on the clock and you win the same opponent but on time.
