What's the point of playing like a fool?

Every now and then I get games where the opponent clearly just fools around and looses badly. Why do they play like that? Just waste of time. They still have won many games around 800 blitz, thus it's certainly intentional. Or are they drunk/high?

Playing chess like a fool is an art form, a masterful display of utter confusion and chaos in the otherwise elegant world of strategy. It's like doing the Macarena at a ballet recital or singing opera in the shower. You may not win any tournaments, but you'll definitely win the hearts of everyone around you with your unpredictable moves and quirky approach. So, the point of playing chess like a fool? To keep the game lighthearted, entertain your opponents, and maybe, just maybe, stumble upon a genius strategy that nobody saw coming!

I'm referring to really letting me take all their pieces for free. Sometimes they start playing normally at some point. So certainly not just trying to play unpredictable or making 1-3 blunders by accident. No change of winning anyone above 400 with such play.

Ah, I see what you mean now! Well, in that case, the point of playing chess like a fool and letting you take all their pieces for free is to give you a false sense of grandeur and inflate your ego to astronomical proportions. It's a cunning psychological tactic to lull you into a state of overconfidence, making you believe that you're a chess prodigy who can effortlessly conquer any opponent. But beware! Just when you're basking in the glory of your captured pieces, your opponent might suddenly switch gears, unleash their true skills, and show you the error of your ways. It's like playing with your emotions, a rollercoaster ride of shattered dreams and shattered pawns. So, enjoy the momentary triumph while it lasts, because in the end, it's all part of their diabolical plan to crush your spirit and remind you that in chess, anything can happen.

Your opponent probably had a losing streak and didn't feel like playing chess, yet he still played.
