What's with the hostility of some players
Most revealing - the language and all. Who cares about a "premove"?!? Tough if one blunders. But this guy's projecting his self-loathing onto others. Learning to lose is part of being a grown up.
I used to complain about people being arseholes to me for no reason. Then I took a bullet to the cerebellum.
Personally when I lose a game I contain the bitterness in my heart and politely congratulate my opponent. it's betterfor my karma.
Bg5 is a legit bullet tactic. Maybe black should have been more careful about his premoves.
Why thank you. Finally someone who sees this "trick" as a legit move.
I heard often that bullet in not real chess. Well, it certainly is. It needs lots of practice and knowledge to check mate someone in 20 seconds.
As for the Bg5, the way I see it, time matters in bullet almost more than pieces. That guy who accused me I use Bg5 as a pre-move (so what), he apparently uses his whole defense with pre-moves, so he should have been more carefull.
I use Bg5, and lose bishop in about 70% cases, but even if I do, it takes oponent usually some 2-3 seconds in most cases, which is trading piece for time.
I think that is a funny tactic! Like others have said, speed chess is not serious play -- it's purely for fun.
It's unfortunate that people react so angrily over a loss, though.
First of all, that's an interesting tactic for bullet. Second, just ignore them. Haters on the internet are here to stay, it seems.
They were never taught that they have an obligation to act in a civil manner and to demonstrate good sportsmanship. Even when I was in grammer school competitions, both teams would line up to shake the other teams hand.If you were unwilling to do that, you were off the team. Not any more I guess.
Lol what's a premove? And the people who are saying Bg5 isn't real chess Re obviously being sarcastic.. The reason?
Do you guys use the internet for anything besides this website? This is internet culture. It's all done for the "lolz".
Do it right back and try to be even more outrageous and ignorant. It can lead to some pretty good times.
The internet is serous business!!!!!!!!!! N
So what is one to make of this? There was a word for moves like 2.Bg5 and 2...d6 back in my day (you young whippersnappers!!): BLUNDER!!
Now I can understand that in a fast game one might take risks one wouldn't in a slow game: complex but somewhat unsound opening variations show up routinely in blitz games. I suppose in bullet one can push things further and deliberately blunder to one's advantage given the magnified importance of the clock.
This just confirms what I've always known: that bullet is not something I want to play. I'll leave it to others to argue whether or not bullet is really "chess" or a "chess variant" (a la bughouse or fairy chess).
Regardless, it seems folks get way too serious about chess. It shouldn't be too much to ask people to play nice with the other kids. After all, it's just a game! Right?
So, I played following game:
Which he quit, disconnected...
what a moron. pre-moves ....
So, he's mad that your premoves were slightly better than his premoves. Seems if one misses 2.Qxg5 they should either laugh or give up chess.
He will probably not fall for that trick again. For that he should have thanked you.

Actually, I think he was mad, because he missed it several times
Apparently, there is a MASSIVE difference between 1/0 and 2/0 bullet, and also with increments like 1/1 and so forth. All still classified as bullet, but the difference between 1/0 and 2/0 is HUGE. The latter is more like chess; the former is simply nonsense and probably bad for your game overall. Try playing Bg5 like that on 2/0 bullet and you will lose every.single.time (unless your opponent has crap connection or a total moron who should not be playing chess).
Anyway, the OP's opponent should not be playing 1/0 if he was not prepared for such nonsense.

Of course I wouldn't do that move in 2min game.
