I was talking about nothin but wins but since were moving into unbeatean streaks aswell I went the entire month of september (this year) unbeatean playing 1300-1500 players OTB playing everyday (it was random how many games a day I played.) I also won 1 small nieborhood tournament 4-0 another clean score!
Whats your biggest winning streak and against what level of play
Just had an 8-0 run in the 45/45 pool on ICC.
Mostly it was just getting weaker competition than it usually gets in that pool, and also had a mysterious game in which the opponent resigned after four moves (my QGA line was *very* intimidating apparently).
But given that you can't select your opponents, 8-0 in the pools there is a relatively rare feat.

It may be rare since no one has got 8-0 but I'm sure people can get 8-0 if they also face weaker competition.

wait if your bullet is rated 2200 beating someone 1800 isnt big but the fact that it was 48 games now your talkin but even somethin like little stuff like once I drew a CM 3 games in a row and won the 4th game (it was a match and she still won anyway) is also impressive guys try posing that.

Some people accidently click the 45 45 pool button and don;t want to play such a long game. How you managed to get 8 45 45 games in one day is amazing in itself unless it was short games then they weren't thinking. Also, you must be out of provisional, otherwise your opponents would easily skyrocket into 2500+. Getting a plus score in the pools is already impressive but that also means you're underrated.
I started the day at 1475 in the 45/45 pool and I finished the day at 1511, so I averaged about 5 rating points per win. This actually goes back to yesterday, but I did have a ton of time the last two days to play chess.
vs. "1600" in first game, 34-move win
vs. 1226, early resignation after lost material
vs. 1451, 17-move win, opp resigned
vs. 1127, 18-move win
vs. 1340, 58-move win, but the last 15or so were rapid-firing to a checkmate in a K+P vs. K won game.
vs. 1367, mate in 21 moves
vs. 1356, immediate resignation
vs. 1442, early resignation after lost material
I usually am lucky if even 1/4th of my games there are against lower-rated competition, and my all-time in the pool is still just +17, -24, =4. It wasn't necessarily impressive, it was just an interesting statistical fluke.
But it's also still going. Maybe tomorrow night I can stretch it to 10

ummm could someone tell me what this 45 45 league is I'd love to join it. a link or anything wold be nice
The 45 45 league on ICC can be found at team4545league.org. Basically, you have teams of 4-6 players, and four play a single 45 45 game with an assigned opponent from that week's opposing team. I think FICS has something similar, and of course is on the free server.
I'm not in it right now, but I'm registered to join when the next season comes up next month.
You have to play on the server that hosts the league, yes.
Here's the one for the Free Internet Chess Server: http://teamleague.org/index.php
wilson - yeah, it was a huge fluke. I'm overrated, and most of time I play guys around 1500-1800 in the pool, and their standard ratings are usually 1600-2000, which is way, way better than me. Today the pool was feeling Christmas-y or something and just kept feeding me guys I could beat.
I had a 150+game unbeaten streak at my chess club over the course of 2.5 years once. I faced all levels up to 2100 USCF. That's the best streak I've ever had.
Online, I've had several long unbeaten streaks, but they weren't as satisfying as the one I had otb.
thats very impressive.
