You have played more than 8,000 bullet games and 2,000 blitz games.
Surely, you must have a sense of this by now. It's not like you are going to start calculating your moves out to mate.

One of hundred thousands of players with a lot of games but still at low level. I learned when, how, which piece where by watching how masters play with commentary and by playing myself and analyzing game after that actually you have to work little bit believe it or not... Well they don't do it often but some like Ginger GM with his blitz videos you will learn thing or two.
I faced a lot of players who sacs against me, even at 1100 level. I laugh at them and enjoy their nervous attempt and then destroying them : D
Players at 1100-1600 level have one thing in common. They are extremely, extremely cocky and greedy. They will eat that "free pawn" with a smile, not understanding they will get checkmated or simply they don't believe it while in same time they lack skills to prove it and they end losing. Its big ego thing. Their ego is preventing them to improve. They just want another game to win and thats it day after day.
Lately I am becoming more of a fan of sacking bishops and knights for opening up the castle. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, it intensifies game rapidly.
So I was wondering if there is a rule of thumb on sacking pieces or if it is just a pure instance type of play.
Thanks
