When will chess 2 be released?

It's been decades since the original game has been released and the devs and till now not made a single announcement for the release of chess 2. if they dont wanna make chess 2 why not just release regular updates on the already existing game like some new maps or smthn? cuz I honestly am preety bored playing on the same map for the 8393839th time. Also im still stuck on 750 elo when will the devs patch this issue?
